Intronis Names SaaS Veteran as CEO

Former Landslide, Webex executive Rick Faulk will lead the channel-focused cloud backup company effective immediately.

Cloud backup provider Intronis Inc. announced Tuesday that software-as-a-service veteran Rick Faulk has joined the company as CEO and will serve on the companys board effective immediately.

Faulk comes to Intronis with more than 30 years of leadership experience in technology sales, marketing and operations, including more than a decade working in SaaS solutions. Faulks career highlights include serving as president and CEO of Landslide Technologies, a provider of a SaaS-based customer relationship management solution, which was sold to j2 Global in February 2012. He spent the last year at j2 as general manager of cloud services for sales and marketing.

Previously, Faulk spent two years (2007-2009) as president and CEO of Mzinga, a provider of business social software solutions. From 2001 to 2005, Faulk served as CEO of Intranets.com and was credited with the sale of the SaaS collaboration service to WebEx Communications in 2005. At WebEx, he was named CMO and president WebEx Small Business. He also served on the senior management team during Webex’s acquisition by Cisco in 2007.
