Last week, Logitech International announced Darrell’s resignation as president, CEO and as a member of its board of directors. However, it said he would remain with the company over the coming month to ensure a seamless transition.

On Tuesday, VF Corp. announced Darrell will become its president and CEO effective July 17.

In line with the board’s established succession planning process, Logitech board member Guy Gecht has stepped into the role of interim CEO while a global search of internal and external candidates is conducted.

Darrell served as Logitech’s president and CEO since 2013. Logitech said he vacated his role to pursue another opportunity.

“After nearly a decade of consistent growth and building market leadership across multiple categories, I feel this is a good point to hand over leadership,” Darrell said. “I want to thank all the amazing people across Logitech for their work through the years. I will work with Guy and the board to ensure a smooth transition, and I will continue to be a customer, shareholder, and enduring fan of Logitech and its products.”

Overseeing Consistent Growth

Over his 10 years as CEO, Darrell oversaw a period of consistent growth and helped to transform Logitech into an “award-winning design company known for its unparalleled product innovation,” said Wendy Becker, Logitech’s chairperson of the board.

Gecht said Logitech is in an “exciting position, with many opportunities ahead.”

“The company is a leader in growth markets, its product innovation engine is an industry hallmark, all underpinned by a strong financial foundation and a world-class leadership team,” he said. “I look forward to working with this team to continue executing on the company’s strategy.”

Earlier this month, D&H Distributing named Anthony Graziano as its senior vice president of marketing. Graziano was Logitech’s worldwide head of channel marketing. Logitech is a D&H manufacturing partner

At Logitech, Graziano oversaw marketing strategies, partner alliances and channel events.
