When is business like junior high? When you’re Motorola and its fired CFO.
The handset maker and Paul Liska have been going ‘round and ‘round the past couple of weeks over allegations of misleading financial forecasts (that’s Liska’s claim), and extortion and poor performance issues (that’s Motorola’s claim). Now a judge is telling the two parties to work things out between themselves.
The judge said he won’t even consider the sanctions Motorola has requested until the company and Liska try to work out the problems on their own. There’s a July 31 hearing scheduled as a follow-up.
