Hoey will lead the security validation provider in forming new strategic partners and growing its channel alliances. She previously was Optiv‘s senior director of partner alliances. There, she implemented an integrator strategy to accelerate overall business growth with partners.

Before that, she served as senior director of business development at Arrow Electronics, managing sales, product and marketing managers to meet North American revenue targets.

Here’s our listof channel people on the move in November.

Hoey has been in the cybersecurity industry for more than 20 years.

“I have witnessed the evolution of cybercrime with it becoming more and more hazardous to businesses globally,” she said. “By empowering security professionals and leaders with a management platform that lets them understand their entire security posture, Cymulate not only helps customers to ensure they are protected from cybercrime, but make sure they are investing their money by supporting the fine tuning of their security technology investments.”

Extended Security Management

Cymulate SaaS-based Extended Security Posture Management (XSPM) allows security professionals to continuously challenge, validate and optimize their cybersecurity posture end-to-end across the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

Hoey said her whole career has focused on business development of reseller channels. That’s from both the distribution side of Arrow and managing over 500 technology partners at Optiv.

“I have seen firsthand multiple channel programs from the bigger players down to the smaller up-and-coming technologies, what has worked and what hasn’t,” she said. “I will now be able to bring that 20-plus years of channel development experience to Cymulate’s channel program for the Americas.”

Cymulate‘s channel strategy will have to evolve as the company continues to grow, Hoey said.

Her top priority is reviewing Cymulate’s story so far and developing its global channel program with her global counterparts.

“My personal goal is that Cymulate should be part of every security technology sale,” Hoey said. “It will be the fine-tuning platform all our reseller partners use to ensure they are effectively protecting their clients.”

Eyal Wachsman is Cymulate‘s CEO and co-founder.

“Wendy brings deep experience in the channel and extensive knowledge of security solutions that we believe can accelerate business growth,” he said. “We look forward to her leadership and experience.”
