Orca Security’s James Love

In this role, Love is responsible for all revenue-generating activities. He’ll support demand for the Orca Security cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP).

Under Love’s leadership, Orca Security will implement a 100% channel-led go-to-market (GTM) strategy.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in March.

“This is a pivotal moment for so many companies that are moving to the cloud,” he said. “It’s a challenging journey that requires not only complete cloud security coverage, but a trusted advisor, which solution providers are in the best position to deliver. I am extremely thrilled to join Orca as it’s a fantastic and relevant company that is protecting and unifying next-generation cloud security. I want every company in the channel to know that Orca is the best partner for them.”

Love’s Long Channel History Prior to Orca Security

Love served as Illumio‘s chief revenue officer and increased annual recurring revenue by 350%. Prior to Illumio, Love grew Arxan Technologies’ revenue by almost 500%, leading to an acquisition by private investment firm TPG.

And before that, Love served as senior vice president at Imperva. There, he helped to grow the company’s revenue by 300% to approximately $300 million. With over 25 years of experience, Love has a track record of implementing 100% channel-driven sales organizations to reach new markets and building out teams to help businesses reach their next phase of growth.

“Orca Security has been moving towards becoming a channel-first organization,” Love said. “My immediate plan is to fully implement a channel-led sales motion across the entire company. An organization can’t be mostly committed. We must be all in to earn the trust and conviction of channel partners of all types.”

Love’s No. 1 priority is enabling partners with the key differentiators that Orca Security provides that customers value.

Gil Geron, Orca Security’s CEO, said his company is on a mission to make it not only the best cloud security platform in the world, but also the “most loved.”

“Jim brings an extremely successful track record of accelerating growth through the channel,” he said.
