RapidScale Selects New East Region Channel Sales Leader

RapidScale, the managed and hybrid managed cloud services provider, has promoted Andrew Laughter to director of channel sales in the East.

In his new role, Laughter is responsible for leading and mentoring RapidScale partner experience managers, recruiting new sales partners, and developing RapidScale’s channel presence and impact in the region. He reports to Bob Buchanan, RapidScale’s executive vice president of sales.

Laughter “guides trusted advisers in generating more leads, growing more business opportunities and closing larger cloud deals,” the company said.

“I am extremely honored for this opportunity to expand my influence and help sales partners grow more business opportunities as they create more cloud solutions for their customers,” Laughter said. “With this new responsibility, I aim to leverage my many years of experience from the ‘school of cloud hard knocks’ to help aggressively grow channel presence in the East. I am fully dedicated and committed to the success of our trusted advisers as they grow their businesses in the cloud.”

Laughter joined RapidScale in 2013 as a partner experience manager, developing strategic partnerships and business opportunities in the Southeast region. Over the years, he has gained industry experience in cloud solution selling and “has become one of the most recognized names in the channel for cloud solutions,” the company said.

“Andrew’s tenacity, creativity and dedication to his trusted advisers make him the perfect leader to expand and enhance the rapidly growing channel in the East region,” Buchanan said. “His unrivaled responsiveness to partners’ unique needs helps them drive tangible results for their businesses. With the East region growing rapidly, I am confident that he will be a strategic leader to help develop RapidScale even more, and help trusted advisers significantly increase cloud revenues for their businesses.”

Last summer, Cox Business acquired RapidScale. Cox expanded its managed services and cloud portfolio with the acquisition.
