TPx, the managed services and connectivity provider, continued its rapid expansion Monday by announcing the hiring of Mark Steinberg as a channel manager for Connecticut and New York City.
TPx’s Mark Steinberg
Steinberg, who is based in Branford, Connecticut, has more than 30 years of industry experience, with 15 of those in the channel. PGi, PanTerra Networks, Global Crossing (now CenturyLink) and DSL.net are on his long list of previous employers.
“When speaking to partners about potential candidates to lead our channel efforts in the Connecticut market, time after time Mark’s name was at the top of list,” said John Lepore, director, channel sales at TPx. “After my first meeting with Mark, the reason became crystal clear. His vast industry knowledge, experience and most of all his unparalleled talent for developing partner relationships will undoubtedly lead to growth and great success in the region. We’re really excited to have him on our team.”
In addition to maintaining existing partner relationships in the region, Steinberg’s goal will be to recruit new partners who aren’t familiar with TPx’s product portfolio and channel reputation. TPx has a long history on the West Coast, and more recently in Texas, but is still beefing up its nationwide presence after acquiring DSCI in 2016.
“I’ve been around the business a long time and I’ve seen how dramatic industry changes like we’re going through now can quickly winnow out companies and channel partners who don’t understand them,” said Steinberg. “TPx not only gets the transformative benefits that a comprehensive, integrated set of managed services has for customers, they are leading the way with an unmatched set of proven solutions and an amazingly true focus on channel success. Partners in the region who aren’t familiar with TPx, its history of channel leadership, national reach, technical excellence and great support systems are really going to like working with the company. This was an easy move for me.”
TPx now has nearly three-dozen channel managers around the country, adding them at a rapid pace to assist thousands of partners. Just last month the company named Michelle Hermann as a channel manager for New England, and Suzy Stuchell and Victoria Kleinman to similar roles in Florida.
