CHANNEL PARTNERS  Verizon Enterprise Solutions promoted Joe Chuisano to the newly created role of vice president of channel strategy and programs, making him the carrier’s channel chief.

Previously, Chuisano was director of channel partners. In his new role, he reports to Janet Schijns, vice president of medium business and channels.

As his first initiative, Chuisano will launch a program to shift 11,000 customer accounts to the channel, which Schijns announced in her keynote address Wednesday at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo

In related news, the carrier also promoted John Lindsley to area vice president for indirect channel sales. Previously, he was associate director of channel programs. In his new role, Lindsley oversees all cloud, network and advanced communications channel managers. Lindsley, in turn, reports directly into the America’s sales organization.

Schijns told Channel Partners that Lindsley’s role is an example of how Verizon is continuing to integration the direct and indirect sales channels.
