Westcon Announces Key Promotions as Part of Partner Engagement Strategy

Distributor Westcon Group Inc. announced Friday key promotions within its North American product sales team, including Rob Sbarra as vice president of Cisco product sales, Joe Nicoletti as director of security product sales and Richard Roux as director of Avaya product management.

Each is a veteran of Westcon Group North America’s (WGNA) product sales team and will be responsible for planning and executing partner engagement processes. Key elements of the partner engagement process include planning and execution of onboarding, technical and sales training, marketing and demand generation and vertical market penetration.

In light of the current economic conditions, Westcon also said it would continue to help its reseller base develop and articulate networking strategies for economically challenged companies, particularly small to medium businesses (SMBs). In their new roles, Sbarra, Nicoletti and Roux each will drive strategic interaction with WGNA’s manufacturer partners to help achieve this goal.

The three executives will support sales of WestCon’s SecurityPoint, ConvergencePoint, OneVoice and OneDefense solutions.
