XO Communications has a new CFO in Phong Le.
The Virginia-based competitive service provider did not say what happened to Laura Thomas, who was appointed CFO in June 2009.
Le holds more than 16 years of experience in telecom, including in the wireless, wireline, cable, satellite, and high-tech hardware and software sectors, XO said. He comes to XO from multinational operator NII Holdings. His most recent position there was as vice president of strategy and business operations at Nextel Brazil. Before that, Le spent 12 years at Deloitte Consulting, where he worked to help telecom companies improve their financial results.
XO said Le’s background in financial planning and analysis, as well as strategy and operations, will help it add business and wholesale customers, making him “an important asset for XO,” said Chris Ancell, XO CEO, in a press release.
“His proven success steering organizations’ financial results and leading change will support our continued growth initiatives,” Ancell added.
XO went private about three years ago, so it’s not possible to evaluate the company’s financials.
