GFI Max Updates Dashboard, Adds Usability Features

GFIMax

Hosted remote monitoring and management platform provider GFI Max has updated its dashboard to improve usability, enabling a new right-click context menu for quick access to features including patch management, scanning and remote access. Here are the details.

Version 5.32 of the dashboard also adds column persistence that lets MSPs save and restore visible columns on the device grid, checks grid and wall chart.

GFI Max also recently announced an update to its Monitoring Agent, version 8.16.4, which is available through the auto-update from the GFI Max dashboard. New features include seed loading for managed online backup, competitive agent removal tool for MAV, new system tray app and additional patch management improvements.

The company said release candidate 1 for its OS X monitoring agent is now available and includes integration with client reports, support for OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard), hardware and software asset tracking, plus script check.

At its users conference last fall, GFI Max made several product plan announcements, including several mobile device management initiatives that encompassed iOS and Android and Blackberry mobile devices. More information about GFI Max’s product roadmap is available here.
