Kaseya Adds Former IBM Executive as VP of Sales for EMEA Business
Kaseya has named former IBM (IBM) executive Spencer Young as its vice president of sales for its EMEA business.
Remote monitoring and management (RMM) software company Kaseya has named former IBM (IBM) executive Spencer Young as its vice president of sales for its EMEA business.
Kaseya said Young will focus on expanding the RMM provider’s business in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
“We believe that [Young] will accelerate Kaseya’s growth in the region and help make us a much stronger company in EMEA,” Kaseya CEO Yogesh Gupta told MSPmentor. “The EMEA market has tremendous potential for growth for Kaseya, and we have identified the region as a priority for increased investment in the near term. The focus that Young will bring to this region will benefit our existing customers, in addition to driving growth for the company.”
Young most recently served as regional director for the UK and Ireland at software quality and security testing solutions provider Coverity.
He also has held sales and leadership positions at various technology companies, including:
Canon
IBM
Interwoven
Verity
Xerox
Young added he is excited to join Kaseya as it looks to strengthen its market position.
“I am delighted to be joining Kaseya at a very exciting time for the company,” he said in a prepared statement. “The company continues to strengthen its position as the leading provider of cloud-based IT management software with product innovation, acquisitions and a strong customer focus. I’m looking forward to working with the first-class team to drive the success further.”
Kaseya makes a global push
In addition to Young, Kaseya has hired several executives to help the company extend its reach.
Kaseya this May named Roger Hodskins as its head of global channels and alliances and Andrew Robinson as head of its EMEA channel.
The RMM provider said both executives would focus on extending the company’s existing partnerships and developing new partnerships.
Kaseya also unveiled a revamped partner program in May that could help the company expand globally.
“Kaseya has now redoubled its efforts to invest in enabling partners and expanding our offerings with and through the partner community,” Hodskins said in a prepared statement. “We see the expansion of our global channel program as vital to accelerating Kaseya’s growth by providing increased flexibility and resources for our customers.”
