LogicNow has added a risk assessment provider to its portfolio.

The IT service management solution provider has acquired iScan Online for an undisclosed sum, the company announced recently.

In addition, LogicNow said the acquisition will power the development of the LogicNow MAX Risk Intelligence solution, which enables managed service providers to automate vulnerability scanning to help customers prioritize threat mitigation strategies based directly on business costs.

“The iScan acquisition gives our customers a significant competitive advantage by equipping them with the ability to assess the risk to sensitive data, an organization’s most valuable asset,” LogicNow CEO Walter Scott said in a prepared statement

MAX Risk Intelligence allows enterprises to understand their total risk exposure by quantifying that risk in actual dollar terms, according to LogicNow.

It enables IT professionals to conduct regular automated risk assessments within their IT environments to calculate the real-time risk of a data breach, LogicNow noted, and helps users satisfy various regulatory compliance requirements.

LogicNow is offering a free two-week trial of MAX Risk Intelligence for up to five user devices and continues to explore new ways to support MSPs as well.

For example, LogicNow in September unveiled LOGICcards, a service that allows MSPs to access data driven-insights.

LOGICcard provides data from devices managed on an MSP’s network, LogicNow said, and enables service providers mine data from billions of data points collected from MAX RemoteManagement platform users.
