Cloud security company Panda Security has released a new version of Panda Cloud Systems Management (PCSM), a remote monitoring and management (RMM) solution. Panda Security said in a statement that PCSM now allows management of Windows, Mac and Linux devices, as well as smartphones and tablets.

“The new features incorporated into PCSM deliver significant benefits to companies, easing IT management and reducing costs,” Manuel Santamaría, Project Manager Director at Panda Security, said in a prepared statement. “With the launch of this new service, Panda Security reinforces its commitment to providing comprehensive solutions that reduce the complexity of security management. Thanks to Panda Cloud Systems Management, partners have an easy-to-use, centralized management tool that reduces maintenance time and costs, improves margins and revenue and provides added value for customers.”

Here’s a rundown on some of PCSM’s new features:

  • Activity log – Administrators can monitor network activity and see which actions have been performed by each user and when these actions were performed.

  • Additional security – Two-factor authentication now is required to access the PCSM Web console.

  • Linux device management – The new version of PCSM adds Linux support to its cross-platform management capabilities.

PCSM is designed to help organizations manage, monitor and support all types of devices on their computer networks, according to Panda Security. In addition, PCSM now provides printer management via Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), a feature that Panda Security will extend to routers and switches in future releases.

Panda Security offers a Web-based administration console for managed service providers (MSPs) that allows them to “centrally install, configure and monitor customers’ security and devices.” Panda Security also provides Panda Cloud Protection and Panda Cloud Systems Management to help MSPs meet market demands and deliver value-added services.
