Tigerpaw Software Adds MSP, VAR Business Coach as VP of Sales
Tigerpaw Software has named James Kernan as its vice president of sales. What does the new hire mean for the Bellevue, Nebraska-based professional services automation (PSA) software provider? Here's everything you need to know.
The Tigerpaw Software booth at the Kaseya Connect Sponsor Pavilion featured a special guest who recently joined this professional services automation (PSA) software provider – James Kernan, the company’s vice president of sales.
Kernan joined Tigerpaw as its VP of sales earlier this month. He has 25 years of technology industry experience and replaces Ben Johnson, who had served as the company’s director of sales.
Prior to joining Tigerpaw, Kernan served as principal consultant at Kernan Consulting, a San Diego, California-based international technology consulting company, and has helped more than 350 managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs) grow their businesses.
Tigerpaw CEO James Foxall originally told MSPmentor about the VP of sales vacancy at last year’s AVG Technologies (AVG) Cloud Partner Summit. Foxall led the search for “a highly motivated over-achiever who is innovative as well as having success rooted in business process management and will do whatever it takes to meet and exceed the goals of the company within high ethical standards.”
Today, Tigerpaw is the largest independent PSA software provider on the market, Kernan said, and he plans to focus on its open partner community going forward.
“Our open partner community is a great play for us,” he said. “We’re going to work on growing and developing our strategic partner community.”
Kernan also said he expects Matrix, Tigerpaw’s data mining tool, to be available by the end of June. Foxall previously described Matrix as “the most powerful data mining and filtering tool you will find in any PSA.”
Tigerpaw has bolstered its PSA software over the past few months as well.
The company integrated its PSA software with remote monitoring and management (RMM) solution Servoyant in January and released Tigerpaw Mobile in February.
