Arrow Electronics ECS has launched a new professional services business unit. Translation: Arrow ECS now provides technical, education, and other support across their products. Here’s the quick details on this announcement…

What products are included in this support? The “full portfolio,” of course, which include hardware, software and storage lines (but in North America only). On top of that, Arrow ECS’ proprietary services, select cloud computing and managed services are now available to resellers and customers.

According to Andy Bryant, president of Arrow ECS

“The establishment of a professional services business unit formalizes the support Arrow ECS has always provided. It demonstrates our commitment to continuing to lead in this area.”

Resellers can now “augment or outsource” technical help to customers if their own personal support resources are tied up, or if they’re simply building their own expertise in the area. The example given? Arrow ECS now “provides supplier-authorized training, onsite security assessments, engineering services and 24-hour technical support for both resellers and their customers.”
