Motorola Promotes PartnerEmpower Wireless Solutions Program

Motorola's PartnerEmpower partner program has a new Wireless Network Solutions track for channel partners. We recently spoke with Gregory Kalman, VP of channel management for Wireless Networking Solutions, to get a feel for Motorola's strategy. Here's a recap of the conversation. Motorola’s PartnerEmpower partner program has a new Wireless Network Solutions track for channel partners. We recently spoke with Gregory Kalman, VP of channel management for Wireless Networking Solutions, to get a feel for Motorola’s strategy. Here’s a recap of the conversation.

The Wireless Network Solutions track is specifically designed for PartnerEmpower solutions providers that  focus on wireless broadband, WLAN, security, and of course, VoIP. According to Motorola, Wireless Network Solutions specialists gain:

  • Market differentiation as a Motorola channel partner specialized in wireless solutions

  • Marketing benefits that help you generate demand

  • Sales benefits that help you get in the door and close larger deals

  • Technical benefits that enable you to deliver solutions and support your customers

  • A global channel ecosystem that connects you with partners to help support the needs of your customers

  • Certification and training opportunities

Kalman says the specialization will help solutions providers to partner up:

“Part of [this partner program consolidation] is to create profiles of our partners. Partners can find each other with capabilities [they need]. [We want partners to] identify and work together for solutions at hand, without feeding [their] competitor.”

The WNS track comes to North America first, and then across the world. For those that aren’t familiar with Motorola, Kalman offered this nugget of info:

“Motorola isn’t [just] a company that sells radios and cell phones. [We’ve built] a world class portfolio of mobility solutions. If [partners] haven’t taken a closer look at our arsenal, they’re doing themselves a disservice…We’re not your father’s Oldsmobile.”

He concluded:

“Wireless solutions [are at the] intersection of two technologies; IP and Radio Frequency. You could argue that Motorola isn’t synonymous with IP but when it comes to RF, there’s no one more famous than Motorola.”
