Snom Phones Interoperable with Schmooze Com IP Systems
April 25, 2012
IP communications specialist Snom Technology is working with Schmooze Com to provide interoperability with Schmooze’s PBXact phone system and PBXtended hosted PBX, offering small-business VARs another IP telephony alternative for their customers.
Snom VoIP phones, including the snom 300, 320, 370, 821 and 870 desktop phones and M9 wireless handset, now can be auto-provisioned via the Schmooze Com Endpoint Manager for installation and management directly from the PBX graphical user interface.
Features of the PBXact business telephone system and PBXtended hosted PBX include visual voice mail, custom IVR auto attendants, find-me-follow-me and voice recognition capabilities that allow employees to access the company directory, check messages and perform call control using voice commands.
“Snom’s ‘special sauce’ is our firmware – the core software that runs on our desktop phones and the key to making them intelligent. It represents fourth-generation SIP technology and we think our firmware sets us apart,” noted Snom COO Mike Storella. “For VARs, this translates to making it easy for our IP phone portfolio to interoperate with a broad variety of IP PBX and hosted VoIP platforms.”
To support its channel partners, Snom offers in-person two-day training seminars for all VARs to become Certified Snom Engineers. The training is part of snom University, which includes classroom training, webcasts and online courses.
snom also recently crossed our radar when it rolled out an e-training program for its partners to provide end-to-end support of snom’s ONE IP PBX solutions.
