Turnover Continues At CA
May 15, 2006
For the third time in a month, a prominent CA Inc. executive is leaving the company. The latest departure involves CFO Robert Davis, who is departing “under mutual agreement.” Other recent defections include CTO Mark Barrenechea and COO Jeff Clarke. CA has already warned that its quarterly results, to be announced May 30, won’t meet expectations.
CA CEO John Swainson is attempting to put the recent departures in context, saying: “When we began the task of transforming CA, we knew that we would encounter many challenges and understood that in an undertaking of this scale and scope, changes were to be expected.” Swainson joined CA in November 2004 after federal investigators implicated former CEO Sanjay Kumar in an accounting scandal.
