Buy 1, Get 1: NetEx WAN Optimization Meets Virtualization

Here’s a heads up for MSPs that specialize in virtualization and WAN optimization. NetEx, which makes the HyperIP virtual appliance for WAN optimization, is offering a two-for-one deal through September 2011.

HyperIP is a VMware Ready solution, designed to move large data sets across WANs. HyperIP supports a range of data management applications, including backup, replication and business continuance/disaster recovery (BC/DR), the company claims. NetEx also offers HyperIP for cloud infrastructures as a software-only configuration… making it a potential solution for MSPs that are building their own clouds or deploying private clouds for customers.

In recent months we’ve been hearing from more and more IT vendors that specialize in WAN optimization and application acceleration for service providers. Chief among them is F5 Networks, which shines a bright spotlight on its channel partners.

NetEx also offers a partner program, and we’ll be watching to see how the two-for-one HyperIP promotion works out over the next few months.
