Cablevisions SIP Trunking Certified with Cisco UC Gear
New York-based Cablevision asserts that Optimum Voice SIP Trunking offers substantial savings over traditional T-1 solutions.

Cablevision Systems Corp. on Tuesday announced that its Optimum Voice SIP Trunking service is certified with the Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series for small businesses.
Optimum Voice SIP Trunking delivers voice service to small businesses through a converged voice and data network that can scale for up to 100 employees. The Cisco UC500 system supports up to 130 users, a wide range of IP phone models, public switched telephone network interfaces and Internet connectivity with security services, said Cablevision, the communications company whose Optimum Business unit provides voice and high-speed Internet services to small and medium-sized companies and home-based businesses.

The service is available through Optimum Business and approved third-party resellers in the New York metro area. Cablevision manages an agent program in four western states including Colorado, Utah, Montana and Wyoming as well as throughout the New York metro area, including parts of New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, Connecticut and New Jersey.
