Germany-based Viprinets routers now are available for distribution in the United States, Canada and Mexico through systems integrator Comminovo.
In fact, Comminovo, headquartered in Georgia, just started inventorying Viprinets gear earlier this month, and wants VARs and other IT providers to join its partner program to sell Viprinet products. Comminovo also is opening a training center dedicated to Viprinet equipment.
Viprinet CEO Simon Kissel praised the developments.
North America will become one of the most important markets for our networking technology, said Kissel. Were glad to have found a competent and dynamic partner who can raise awareness for our solutions.
Viprinets routers stand out from others because of a unique bonding technology that increases the reliability of site-to-site, WAN and VPN connections, the company says. The Multichannel VPN Router, for instance, combines several broadband lines into one. Viprinets equipment also can put different access media including ADSL, SDSL, T1 and 3G into one bonded channel.
For Darren Hokanson, CEO of Remsat Telecommunications Inc. in Canada, those capabilities constitute a game-changer. Remsat serves the oil and gas industries, whose people often work in remote areas. Under those conditions, Viprinet gear allows us to turn consumer-based Internet services to a carrier-grade level, Hokanson said in a recent press release.
The technology will open up a completely new market in Canada,” Hokanson added.
In addition to Viprinet distribution, Comminovo specializes in hosted and managed services, phone systems and data storage.
