Matrix Business Technologies is the first provider to adopt the Fonality Managed Services Partner (MSP) model by selecting the PBXtra platform, Fonality said.

Fonality’s PBXtra business phone system gives MSPs a managed voice offering to complement their existing network services (analog, digital PRI or SIP). Fonality and Matrix are offering an out-of-the box voice platform and providing customers with a single source for a T1 line and phone system, the companies said.

The hybrid-hosted phone system is Matrix’s only managed IP PBX. Matrix customers will be able to choose from all of Fonality’s PBXtra including PBXtra, PBXtra Professional or PBXtra Call Center Edition, as well as its Heads Up Display application.

PBXtra supports auto-attendant features, telecommuters, branch offices, drag and drop call controls, conferencing and cross-office intercoms.

Matrix Business Technologies provides voice and data services targeted to enterprises with 10 to 100 employees. It currently has more than 35,000 business customers.

The Matrix managed PBX system will be available for limited distribution in June with general availability in early in the third quarter.
