MegaPath Corp. on Tuesday said it now offers asymmetrical business Ethernet services that rival cable because they come with SLAs, dedicated bandwidth and engineered QoS.

The speeds reach up to 50x10MBps, MegaPath said, with availability in 700 central offices. By the end of the year, the company expects to offer speeds up to 150x10MBps.

“We’ve listened to our customers and partners, and these Ethernet services reflect what they want more speeds at affordable price points with business-class service level agreements,” said Dan Foster, MegaPath’s president of business markets for MegaPath.

Target users for the new services include SMBs and multilocation enterprises.
