Building on the momentum of its recent merger with FDN, service provider NuVox Communications Inc. (Booth 911, and COMPTEL sponsor), announced a new strategic sales channel that will provide wholesale services including UNE-L, resale and carrier offerings, as well as packages for multidwelling units and government customers.

NuVox serves more than 90,000 customers across 16 states in the Midwest and Southeast, providing voice, data and security services to businesses using equipment from Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco Systems Inc., Nortel Networks Ltd. and Sonus Networks. Its VoIP services also use Acme Packet, IP Unity Glenayre and Sylantro Systems gear.

According to NuVox, the product line for the new channel includes a full range of services such as SIP trunking, voice origination products, DSL aggregation, PRI, Dynamic T1, UNE-L and DSL line share offerings.

The recent merger of NuVox Communications and FDN positions NuVox well in the wholesale space, said Jim DaBramo, executive vice president of strategic sales at NuVox.
