WOW! Business is starting to make its mark on the channel.

The communications and cloud services arm of the regional cable provider has been building its partner program since this summer, and now it has signed the first participant – Telecom Brokerage Inc. (TBI) – to the WOW! Business Partner Alliance program.

“Forming this partnership with TBI is an important milestone as WOW! Business continues to aggressively build a strategic channel partner program that attracts knowledgeable third-party distributors with industry expertise in the markets we serve,” Ken Worcester, WOW! Business channel chief, said in a prepared statement.

TBI’s subagents and VARs now may sell WOW! Business services including IP-based network, data, voice and cloud to mid-sized and enterprise organizations, including government and wholesale customer.

Privately held WOW! Business owns and operates more than 40,000 miles of fiber-optic and coaxial networks in the southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. The company just last week said it has expanded into Maryland’s Anne Arundel County and, earlier this month, released its hosted VoIP platform.
