TBI Teams With Comcast, Telx, Zayo for Partner Event

Master agency TBI recently hosted a training event and data center tour for its partners with colo provider Telx, as well as Comcast Business Class and Zayo.

The event opened with presentations from the vendors. Leo Chinnaswamy, a sales solutions engineer for Telx, discussed Telx’s services and facilities. Vivian Chavez, a partner sales manager for Comcast, talked about Metro Ethernet, and Zayo’s Jason Post reviewed that company’s partner program in light of the AboveNet acquisition.

Afterward, partners got an inside look at Telx.

“It was really cool to visit the beating heart of the data center,” said Mike Simon of Express Telephone Systems Inc. It was impressive and rallied our interest in marketing the offerings of this facility.”

When the tour wrapped up, partners, suppliers and TBI reps enjoyed happy hour at the Chicago Firehouse Restaurant, which specializes in steak and fine dining. Len Salva, Telx’s channel director, organized the networking time, during which Comcast sponsored a raffle giveaway of an iPad. TBI partner Lee Zimmer won the coveted tablet.
