Talari Networks will reach more customers with its software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) solution thanks to a new partnership with Tech Data.
Talari has partnered with Avnet Technology Solutions, which Tech Data acquired earlier this year for $2.6 billion.
Tech Data’s stable of partners, which includes managed services providers and system integrators, will sell the SD-WAN offering. It is a major step into the technology for the distributor.
“Tech Data has a strong track record of delivering superior solutions that target growth markets like SD-WAN, so that partners can benefit from collaborative profit-discovery opportunities, while also streamlining development and delivery of solutions that span vendor silos,” said Atchison Frazer, Talari’s head of worldwide marketing. “Our mutual partners will be able to rely on Tech Data’s experienced team to provide innovative software-defined networking solutions that address our customers’ most critical digital-transformation goals.”
Talari’s “Thinking WAN” solution can integrate with a pure MPLS network, hybrid WAN and Internet-as-WAN. Talari says it differentiates itself from competitors by performance analytics for latency, bandwidth and jitter.
“Next-generation networking technologies like SD-WAN are extremely important to our global partners’ success in terms of accelerating the potential for recurring revenue streams,” said Cheryl Neal, Tech Data’s vice president of data and networking solutions. “By adding Talari to our portfolio, our partners will be able to develop additional expertise and scalable market coverage for software-defined networking (SDN) customer initiatives.”
Andy Gottlieb and John Dickey founded the San Jose, California-based Talari in 2007.
