TelePacific SmartVoice Now Over EoC

TelePacific Communications, a CLEC operating in California and Nevada, announced Tuesday that its SmartVoice services are now available with Ethernet over Copper deployments.

Launched in 2007, TelePacifics SmartVoice service is a package of communication services, combining unlimited local calling, Internet access (or a private IP network) and up to 22 voice and data features at a flat monthly rate.

Along with broadband servicesT1, Bonded T1 or EthernetSmartVoice offers up to 120 call paths. SmartVoice over EoC bandwidths are available from 1mbps to 20mbps, depending on distance from the serving wire center. Using Ethernet over TDM transport, SmartVoice bandwidth can scale as high as 135mbps.

 SmartVoice uses SIP for call control and voice features, delivering SIP-based voice from the premises to the PSTN. Likewise, the SIP-based service terminates at the premises and can be converted to a traditional voice interface (PRI/CAS/Analog) with a TelePacific managed gateway, or delivered directly as SIP to a LAN.

SmartVoice enables customers to optimize their network for voice or data traffic as needed. For  example, using SmartVoice, voice traffic is prioritized over data traffic. As call paths are released, they dynamically convert to data bandwidth to speed data traffic through the customers network.
