Transcend United Technologies, an IT and communications services company, is merging with LiquidSpoke, a technology services firm focused on design, implementation and support services for unified communications and managed services.
The companies this week said the merger would create one of the largest technology resellers in North America with relationships with such infrastructure suppliers as Avaya, Cisco, LifeSize, Nortel, Riverbed and ShoreTel.
The transaction significantly grows Transcend Uniteds scale and ability to serve markets in the Northeast and adds significant capabilities to the companys Managed Services practice,” Springfield, Pa.-based Transcend United Technologies and Wayne, Pa.-based LiquidSpoke stated in a press release.
The combined company will offer solutions for service desk, IP telephony, wireless, WAN optimization, videoconferencing and backup recovery, including an around-the-clock network operations center.
Under the transaction, all LiquidSpoke principals and executive management will play key roles in the combined company, and Transcend United Technologies plans to move its headquarters and Pennsylvania sales operations to LiquidSpokes headquarters in Wayne.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
As a result of this merger and combined platforms, our customers will realize broader service programs and the results will be mutually beneficial,” LiquidSpoke President and CEO Richard Tarity said.
