Virgin Mobile USA has announced a prepaid 3G Internet service is on the way over the Sprint EV-DO Rev. A network. It will be called Broadband2Go. Subscribers use a modem that plugs into a computer’s USB port. There is an internal antenna and an optional external antenna for remote locations.

You can buy the modem for $150, exclusively at Best Buy Mobile later this month. Fixed rates start at $10 for 100MB, up to $60 for 1GB. There are no additional fees.
