Windstream Extends WAN Management Service Nationwide

Windstream announced Wednesday that its Advanced Application Reporting (AAR) product for enterprise business customers is now available throughout its footprint.

Windstream serves major markets in 41 states coast to coast, with a concentration in the Northeast, Southeast and Midwestern regions of the country.

AAR provides enterprise businesses with near real-time visibility into their wide area network (WAN) traffic, enabling them to address performance problems, make informed infrastructure investments and optimize network connectivity.

AAR uses passive data collection without the need to deploy on-site probes. Windstream enterprise customers can use AAR to collect, format and display WAN performance statistics in numerous reporting functions, reflecting network activity for multiple intervals (hour, last day, and last week).

Windstream says it’s ideal for multisite data network service customers subscribing to Windstream’s Ethernet Internet, Dedicated Internet, MPLS and VLS services.

Offering a solution for IT professionals to access their WAN bandwidth information and intelligence and perform their jobs more efficiently is a priority for Windstream,” said Don Perkins, Windstream’s senior vice president for enterprise business marketing.
