XO Communications Extends Network With Cologix

Cologix Inc. announced that its relationship with XO Communications has been expanded as the latter launches service in Toronto.

Denver-based Cologix is a network neutral interconnection and colocation company that provides services from facilities in Dallas, Minneapolis, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. XO is already a customer in the Cologix Dallas INFOMART data center and is deploying transport and IP infrastructure in Cologix’s 151 Front Street data center in order to meet demand for network services in Canada.

Cologix Toronto provides colocation and interconnection support to more than 150 customers from 30,000 square feet in 151 Front Street, Toronto’s carrier hotel. Cologix operates seven discrete data centers within the building and offers direct connectivity to the Toronto Internet Exchange (TORIX).

XO Communications’ network has more than 1.6 million miles of fiber, serves more than 85 metro market and includes nationwide IP and transport networks as well as global service delivery to more than 50 countries for the door-to-door delivery of customer traffic around the world.
