XO Expands Service Throughout Canada

U.S.-based XO Communications announced Tuesday that it has expanded network services throughout Canada through its Canadian subsidiary.

Available services include dedicated Internet access, high-speed IP transit, MPLS IP-VPN, VPLS, Ethernet, private line and wavelength services for enterprise and wholesale customers.

XO’s Canadian network uses redundant metro fiber rings and multiple, diverse long-haul fiber routes that span the country, terminating in the XO hub in Toronto. The network is designed with redundant connections into the XO U.S. network via New York City, Cleveland and Seattle.

In addition to Toronto, XO has four other international nodes in London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Hong King and delivers service to more than 55 countries. It also has a presence at major subsea cable landing stations and international gateways in the U.S.
