Acronis' New Channel Evangelist to Promote Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud
Acronis' new channel chief evangelist founded one of the country's first MSPs.
Acronis‘ new channel chief evangelist says her single directive is to spread the word about Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud.
Acronis’s Amy Luby
Amy Luby joins Acronis after 10 years with MSP Revolution. She also founded and built one of the first MSPs in the country. It later expanded to one of the first master MSPs.
Luby most recently worked at Carnegie Technologies, establishing and launching its global MSP channel programs. Prior to that she held senior channel positions at Sinefa, Trend Micro and Synnex.
With Acronis, she will increase the company’s awareness in the IT channel by demonstrating how incorporating cyber protection into their portfolio helps MSPs grow their business and reduce churn.
Luby tells Channel Partners that MSPs are under a lot of pressure to deliver more digital technology consulting.
“This means that as clients are looking to solve problems with the use of technology, MSPs are asked to go above and beyond the basics of systems monitoring and management to deliver value,” she said. “MSPs are being measured by outcomes and with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud there is a real opportunity here to help MSPs deliver that value, and specifically address data protection and cybersecurity outcomes.”

Acronis can help MSPs fortify their managed security solutions while also eliminating complexity, Luby said. MSPs can sell more cyber protection services at higher margins, she said.
Acronis has invested in the channel for more than 20 years, Luby said. It has more than 50,000 partners and is primarily known as a reliable backup and disaster recovery platform, she said.
“We’ve done a great job to date and continue to invest heavily in our channel partners to deliver exactly what they need to provide comprehensive data protection and cybersecurity solutions to their client base,” she said.
Integration “changes everything,” Luby said. No matter how great each solution might be, a patchwork of protection tools creates defense gaps, she said.
“Acronis Cyber Protect takes a unified approach that eliminates those gaps, delivering superior resiliency for our channel partners and their clients,” she said.
“Amy Luby joins Acronis at the perfect time to support the IT channel, tasked with offering vastly improved services that deliver easy, efficient and secure cyber protection while growing revenue in these challenging times,” said Gaidar Magdanurov, Acronis’ chief cyber officer.
