Two men have alleged in a class-action lawsuit that Apple‘s location-based services in the iOS 4 platform pose a risk of privacy invasion and stalking.

In the suit filed in Florida District Court, Vikram Ajjampur of Florida and William Devito of New York contend that Apple collects the location information covertly, surreptitiously, and in violations of law,” PC Magazine reported.

When a user asked Apple CEO Steve Jobs about the issue, Jobs reportedly denied that Apple tracks anyone.

But the suit alleges users of Apple products have no way to prevent Apple from collecting this information because even if users disable the iPhone and iPad GPS components, Apples tracking system remains fully functional.”

It caused quite a ruckus last week when it was revealed that the iPhone is capable of tracking your movements no matter where you take it.
