Arxan Nabs Former Imperva Sales Chief

Arxan Technologies' new VP of sales had career stints at Red Hat, PTC, AT&T and IBM.

Security provider Arxan Technologies is bringing on a new face to lead direct and indirect sales efforts.

Arxan's James LoveJames Love will serve as vice president of sales for the Maryland-based company, whose services protect applications from security threats.

CEO Joe Sander said Love is joining the team at a time when growth opportunities are becoming more plentiful. Sander said Arxan’s services are on more than 500 million devices worldwide.

“More than 20 billion things will be connected by 2020. From games to mobile payments, enterprises not only need to bake robust security into their applications to mitigate risk in today’s mobile and IoT environments, but they also want to do so because it gives them a competitive business advantage,” Sander said. “Under Jim’s leadership, Arxan is poised to capitalize on this enormous market opportunity.”

Love most recently worked as vice president of sales for Imperva Software’s North America region for three years. He was general manager for Red Hat’s South region from 2011 to 2013, and his career has also included stints at PTC, AT&T and IBM.{ad}

One of his duties is to manage partner relationships, including new agreements with Wipro, Attify and R&C.
