AT&T announced that a comprehensive suite of mobile solutions from SAP should be available to AT&T business customers in the fourth quarter of 2013. AT&T and SAP are collaborating on a project to simplify the enterprise mobile lifecycle including mobile application development, mobile security and management for businesses.

By using the SAP Mobile Platform, AT&T customers can develop, launch, distribute and manage mobile apps, content and devices that integrate with existing infrastructures, including both SAP and non-SAP back-end systems. The collaborative efforts of the two companies now offer a wider range of mobility solutions including enterprise mobility management solutions and pre-packaged mobile business applications.

“Mobilizing business processes is a top priority for our customers. They’re focused on mobile applications that go beyond voice, data and email that truly change the way they work,” said Chris Hill, SVP, advanced solutions, AT&T Business Solutions. “In collaboration with SAP, we can help businesses achieve new levels of productivity and innovation.”

“Mobility is changing the way we live and operate in every industry,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, senior vice president, business development and ecosystem innovation, SAP. “For everything from mobile security for the world of BYOD, to mobile apps built using our mobile platform, SAP’s vision is to intelligently unwire the planet. As such, we are excited to help ensure companies of all sizes can gain access to the industry’s state of the art enterprise mobile solutions.”
