eGestalt Technologies, which develops PCI compliance and HIPAA security tools, is opening its arms to managed services providers (MSPs). But what makes eGestalt’s SecureGRC platform unique in a market full of security and compliance solutions for MSPs? eGestalt’s VP of Sales Jim Hare and President Anupam Sahair offered MSPmentor some insights.

eGestalt’s latest SecureGRC release, version 11, is a cloud-based security and compliance solution. “We enhanced the regulation content with other enriched content such as best practices and procedures,” said Sahai. “And it can be scaled from a single user all the way to a large enterprise depending on sophistication of the workflow.”

eGestalt’s goal was to create a platform that MSPs can easily adopt, regardless of their domain expertise. To that end, version 11 includes marketing, on-demand, demo and technical training.

“We spent a lot of time and effort understanding how our partners can take this to market,” said Hare, who noted that eGestalt’s go-to-market strategy is completely channel-based. “We do not compete with our partners.”

Among the other key takeaways:

  • eGestalt is completely cloud-based so partners and end-users don’t have to buy any hardware.

  • It’s available in a small business version and an enterprise version, so small businesses don’t have to buy platforms that are tailored to larger companies.

  • SecureGRC for enterprise customers costs $5,000 per year and can go up depending on the number of users and frameworks. SecureGRC SB (for small businesses) costs $750 per year. Channel partners receive a 25 percent discount on both solutions.

No doubt, corporate compliance remains a hot topic for VARs and MSPs. In particular, we’ll be watching to see if eGestalt catches on with MSPs serving the financial services and health care verticals.
