Leidos Becomes Managed Security Services Provider for RSA

Security, health and engineering solutions provider Leidos has partnered with RSA on a managed security service offering for joint customers.

Leidos said its Managed Security Service Program will leverage its RSA Archer Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) knowledge combined with RSA’s Advanced Security Operations solution to provide a set of secure offerings for the company’s commercial and federal clients.

The various Leidos MSS offerings are expected to leverage the Leidos Security Operations Center combined with the company’s critical security capabilities, including threat intelligence, enterprise configuration and vulnerability management, among others.

“RSA and Leidos understand the evolving cyber paradigm of constant threats,” said Lisa Roger, vice president and division manager for cybersecurity at Leidos. “These threats demand our comprehensive technology and services to continuously monitor and quickly address attacks before they can adversely impact the business.”

Leidos has already established two multi-tenant hosted cloud environments that have been accredited using the RSA Archer GRC solution. The company plans to extending its abilities to detect and prevent security threats once RSA Archer GRC is combined with the RSA ASOC solution, according to the announcement.

By focusing on the RSA ASOC solution and the RSA Archer platform, together we’ll provide customers with a compelling set of security services to help support their security operations’ needs,” said Jeff Brooks, vice president of sales at RSA.

RSA, which is the security arm of EMC (EMC) recently held its 2015 RSA Conference in San Francisco, where security experts gathered to talk about the challenges surrounding the current state of IT security.
