My Digital Shield (MDS) today unveiled a new security solution that brings enterprise-level protection to small businesses.
The Wilmington, Delaware-based security-as-a-service (SECaaS) provider also launched a certified channel partnership program that enables managed service providers (MSPs), solution providers and value-added resellers (VARs) to offer its new small business solution to customers.
Andrew Bagrin, MDS’s CEO, said he believes the new solution and program can provide partners with a consistent revenue stream.
“The recurring revenue model is a simple upfront sell that leads to recurring revenue,” he told Talkin’ Cloud. “You can have little and flat sales every month, but over time, the revenue will grow tremendously and become a consistent source of income.”
MDS’s cloud-based Central Defense System protects small businesses against data breaches, hackers, viruses and other cyber risks, the company said.
This system enables businesses to maintain a consistent Internet connection while they monitor and prevent cyber attacks.
The new MDS solution is designed to meet the needs of small businesses, Bagrin said, and offers an affordable, dependable security offering that partners can provide to customers in multiple industries.
“Our vision is for the small business market to finally have access to a solution that makes sense for them from a financial and simplistic standpoint,” Bagrin added. “We are arming channel partners with a security solution that their small business customers will be able to leverage.”
MDS has already raised $500,000 in seed funding, and Bagrin said his company will continue to invest in security solutions for small businesses.
“We saw a void in security solutions for a wide number of businesses that don’t have the time or resources to invest in services designed for large organizations,” he said in a prepared statement. “The potential to fill this long-existing void among small businesses is extremely exciting, and we look forward to delivering advanced security to an underserviced market.”
