Reseller Metropolitan Telecommunications (MetTel) announced Tuesday it has selected AirWatch to power its mobile device management service.

AirWatch helps to deploy, secure, monitor and manage an enterprise’s entire fleet of Android, Apple iOS, Apple Mac OS X, BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Mobile and Windows Phone devices.

MetTel MDM, powered by AirWatch, enables customers to quickly enroll devices, configure and update device settings over-the-air, enforce security policies and compliance, secure mobile access to corporate resources, and remotely lock and wipe managed devices. It is available across all wireless networks, operating systems and devices.

MetTel MDM is offered at no charge with certain MetTel Nationwide Mobile Service packages.

In addition, the company’s mobile life cycle management services include a range of services from technology alignment and rate plan optimization to device recycling.

In May, the company also introduced MetTel Mobile Integration, a unified communications solution, which converges wireline and wireless phones,  and MetTel Wireless Backup, a fixed wireless solution that ensures that data traffic is automatically redirected to a wireless network when primary circuits fail.
