New Oracle Security Shield Safeguards Contact Centers
OCSS Cloud can mitigate dangerous network threats.
Oracle has unveiled its new Oracle Communications Security Shield (OCSS) Cloud, a real-time communications security service to protect enterprises and contact centers.
Built on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, it uses artificial intelligence (AI) and Oracle Communications Enterprise Session Border Controller’s (E-SBC) real-time enforcement capabilities. It determines the risk of session-initiated, protocol-based communications crossing an enterprise’s network.
By quickly detecting malicious call signatures and behavioral anomalies, The Oracle Security Shield can reduce dangerous network threats.

Oracle has a stellar reputation for security and is a market leader in E-SBC, a business that partners helped to build,” he said. “The introduction of OCSS will allow our partners to introduce another highly automated, intelligent and always-on layer of communications security into the enterprise.”
Single-Vendor, Full Stack
The combination of E-SBC and OCSS creates a single-vendor, full-stack offering, Kracik said. It removes sales friction, and interoperability and integration issues.
“The objective of protecting your communication infrastructure and services is to increase your productivity, reduce your operational risks, reduce alert fatigue and time wasted by your IT security staff, maintain your brand’s loyalty, and protect your bottom line,” he said. “This is ideal for contact centers and enterprise that continue to see increased attacks through their communications networks.”
OCSS protects against fraudsters trying to take over accounts. Moreover, it stops inbound and outbound calls screening, and malicious hackers trying to artificially stimulate traffic. It also defends against nuisance calls and international traffic pumping.
It develops a view of an enterprise’s communications environment using constant monitoring and advanced data analytics to detect anomalies.
“This solution complements a broader set of cybersecurity offerings that an MSP might already have and it enables them to offer communications-specific protection taking advantage of Oracle’s communication network and data expertise,” Kracik said.
