RES on Thursday unveiled its Tech Alliance Program, aimed at providing mutual opportunities for RES and its application, hardware and infrastructure partners.

RES' Tripp PurvisThe program offers members various benefits, including: co-marketing and PR programs; joint customer wins; sales engagement; RES product training; event sponsorship opportunities; and a path for technical validation (RES Ready).

Tripp Purvis, RES’ vice president of strategic alliances, tells Channel Partners the program is being launched with a mix of existing and new partners. Some, such as vendor Citrix, have been with RES for a while, he said.

“However, we have several new partnerships that have been established within the last few months, including TOPdesk, Nutanix and Unidesk,” he said.

The program also introduces a new opportunity for partners that design and build services that integrate with the RES ONE suite of products to become RES Ready-verified. The distinction allows partners to deliver business value to their customers through increased operational efficiencies and optimized technology investments, according to RES.{ad}

RES Ready partners include Citrix, IBM, Microsoft, Nutanix, ServiceNow, TOPdesk, Unidesk and VMware.

“With IT budgets often shrinking, IT is under immense pressure to show value in its technology investments,” Purvis said. “RES channel partners understand that the best way forward is to ensure their customers fully adopt and leverage those investments. But often, the biggest barriers to doing so are manually executed and misaligned processes within customer organizations. This is the problem that RES addresses, allowing customers to realize rapid return on investment, so further investments can be made in new innovations.”

For example, RES extends the digital workspace offered by Citrix to improve the way organizations provide applications and other digital services, he said. The result is better security and flexibility, and increased adoption of Citrix technologies, he said.

RES is actively exploring partnerships that bring value to mutual customers and achieve growth for both organizations, Purvis said.

“The new RES Tech Alliance program establishes an effective way for RES users to leverage the Nutanix invisible infrastructure in a way that delivers open, innovative and transformative next-generation IT solutions,” said Venugopal Pai, Nutanix’s vice president of strategic alliances and business development.
