Trend Micro Unveils Worry-Free Remote Manager for IT Security Partners

Trend Micro (TYO) has released Worry-Free Business Security 9.0, virus protection software for small businesses that features integrated mobile device security. To support its channel partners, Trend Micro also is offering Worry-Free Remote Manager, a cloud-based tool that provides centralized management for its channel partners’ on-premise and hosted customers.

“Worry-Free Business Security provides a comprehensive approach to security, whether in the office or on-the-go. We’ve also kept our channel partners in mind with a cloud-based management tool that makes it easier and more cost-effective to provide security support for their customers,” Eric Skinner, Trend Micro’s vice president of solutions marketing, said in a prepared statement.

Skinner noted new interest in bring-your-own-device (BYOD) initiatives has changed data security for small businesses. As a result, many small businesses are searching for data protection solutions to secure all of their endpoints, and Trend Micro claims Worry-Free Business Security 9.0 provides “enterprise-grade security capabilities that address and mitigate threats across endpoints, from desktops to mobile.”

All Trend Micro solutions use the global threat intelligence provided by the company’s Smart Protection Network to identify and stop threats. Trend Micro claims Worry-Free Business Security 9.0 delivers mobile device security that protects small business employees and their smartphones and tablets.

Meanwhile, Trend Micro claims Worry-Free Remote Manager enables managed service providers (MSPs) to “manage, monitor, bill and report usage of annuity services and traditional annual license customers from a single console.” In addition, Worry-Free Remote Manager features remote monitoring and management (RMM) integration with Kaseya‘s IT automation framework.
