Vaultive has announced the 3.0 version of its persistent encryption gateway. The big news in this major release is that Vaultive has extended its encryption and data residencey support to Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Office 365 and Exchange 2013.
According to the company, Vaultive 3.0 provides “seamless support” for Exchange 2013, no matter whether it has been deployed in the next version of Office 365 (Wave 15), is hosted elsewhere or has been implemented on-premise. The vendor incorporated several new scalability, resiliency and availability features into the 3.0 version to help enterprise customers protect data while implementing deployments of cloud-based services.
The three core new capabilities include global load balancing, clustering across and within nodes, and management capabilities for multiple data resiliency jurisdictions.
“We have extended core functionality to ensure that customers can achieve functionality and security as they take advantage of cloud-based services, while delivering the platform scalability that enterprises require,” said Aviad Lahav, Vaultive systems architect, in a prepared statement.
Vaultive is timing the official release of Vaultive 3.0 with the upcoming new release of Office 365. Both are scheduled for Feb. 27. The new Office 365 version will be based on Exchange 2013, and it also incorporates embedded anti-virus and anti-spam filtering. According to Microsoft, the update will also make use of resilient and scalable cloud-based public folder architecture.
Vaultive has focused much of its business around Exchange and Office 365. Last summer, the company launched a partner program to attract channel resellers interested in helping customers leverage technologies such as those from Microsoft. Vaultive aims to provide the security side of things to keep data safe and protected from threats.
Part of Vaultive’s support of Exchange and Office 365 comes about because they company is trying to help partners aid customers in seamlessly migrating their data to the cloud and securely implement hybrid environments.
