VMware Cloud on AWS is seeing good growth, and with dozens of session planned at VMworld, the company hopes to fuel that growth.
Here’s are some sessions at the AWS booth in the Solutions Exchange: Any Workload, Anywere: Enabling Hybrid Cloud from the Data Center to the Edge; Automated Security for VMware Cloud on AWS: Trend Micro; and Understanding and Optimizing Oracle Licensing on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud – House of Brick.
Integration between HPE Synergy with VMware Cloud Foundation allows customers, through HPE GreenLake, access to a managed hybrid cloud environment. HPE made the announcement last week at VMworld.

VMware Champions was initially launched two-and-a-half years ago as a community for VMware business customers, as a social and marketing space for businesses to increase the visibility of their organizations through thought leadership, storytelling, speaking opportunities, videos and case studies.
About one month ago, VMware Champions opened to VMware partners – VMware Partner Champions.
The Partner Lounge was more than a place for partners to connect. There were dozens of Partner Lounge Theatre Sessions; for example: Hyperconverged Infrastructure and its Use Cases in IoT; Digital Transformation with VMware and Ingram Micro; and Go Beyond with Tech Data and VMware, to name a few.

As August slips away, so does VMworld, held last week in San Francisco.
About 21,000 people attended the event — 5,000+ companies; 230 sponsors and exhibitors; and 86 countries were represented. The conference was big for VMware and CEO Pat Gelsinger, who laid bare the company’s vision which puts Kubernetes are the bull’s-eye of the company’s product strategy — hence the acquisition of Pivotal, announced just days before the kickoff of VMworld.
That acquisition combined with another significant and strategic investment – Heptio, another leader in the open Kubernetes ecosystem made late last year – positions VMware to deliver an enterprise-grade Kubernetes-based portfolio for modern applications on any cloud, app and device.
