Nuvio Corp. announced this week the launch of its NuvioFlex virtual PBX service the company says breaks the industry pricing paradigm, enabling businesses to purchase hosted VoIP more like they would a premises-based PBX phone system.

Historically, hosted VoIP has been sold based upon the number of “seats” or “users,” resulting in large bills. In contrast, NuvioFlex is purchased the same way as is an in-house system. Customers simply determine the number of extensions and lines needed, order those services and make changes when necessary.

NuvioFlex is offered in three packages that start at $159.99 per month for NuvioFlex 5, which includes five extensions, three lines, toll-free number, unlimited local and long-distance, and three free phones. NuvioFlex 10 includes the same features but with 10 extensions, five lines and five free phones for $249.99 per month. NuvioFlex 25 includes 25 extensions, 10 line and 10 free phones for $499.99 per month. Each package can be adjusted with additional lines for $39.99 per month and extensions for $6.99 per month, as needed. Further there are no sign-up fees with a two-year contract.

Each extension and user on the system has access to NuvioFlex’s features, including portal access, voice mail, voice mail to e-mail, find me/follow me, time-of-day scheduling, on-demand call recording and detailed call logs.
