10n2 Technologies has made its cloud-based mobile app, “No Texting While Driving,” generally available for Android and BlackBerry devices through the channel.

The app has been released for businesses; the consumer version is coming this summer, as is the iPhone-compatible edition. For now, companies may use “No Texting While Driving” to keep drivers off their smartphones when behind the wheel.

“No other company has our patent-pending ‘Attention Verification Test,’ which determines if a user is actually driving by activating a series of timed tests while a vehicle is moving,” said Ciarán Hynes, CEO of 10n2 Technologies. “Our software is configured to stop drivers from texting, tweeting or even making calls without a hands-free device.”

10n2 is a startup helmed by a number of former PAETEC employees; Arunas Chesonis, who founded PAETEC, also serves on the 10n2 board and recently led a large investment round for the company. 10n2 master agents in the United States include Telecom Brokerage Inc. and US Network Inc.
