Adaption Technologies Inc., a sponsor of the Channel Partners Conference & Expo, announced the nationwide launch of SIP Advantage OfficeFone, a hosted PBX solution for small and midsize business that leverages the companys Rialto service operating platform to automate creation, delivery and operation of the VoIP services for the companys indirect sales partners resellers and agents.

We know agents with engineering groups on hand to turn on phones, said Todd Wilkens, Adaption Technologies CEO, referring to the overhead of maintaining staff to manually configure and deploy VoIP phones. To me, its silly. In our case we focus them on selling.

Two years in the making, Rialto enables partners to quote, sell, provision, activate and bill for VoIP services. The sales person inputs the opportunity, basic details about the number of users and existing gear, then a quote is generated (including discounts/promo codes) that can be printed or e-mailed to the client. Accepted quotes can be directly submitted to ordering with the touch of a button; theres no need to redo the paperwork. Rialto does the rest, said Wilkens, explaining that the software configures the network elements, kicks off requests for DIDs and equipment to be shipped, and sets up end-user billing.

When users receive their phones, they need only plug them into the LAN and enter a 10-digit code for the configuration to be pushed to the device. Voice prompts also are available to guide users to perform this step without the need for an on-site technician, he added.

According to the company, automating the configuration, provisioning, activation and billing shorten sales cycles, reduces installation intervals, streamlines operational support and improves billing accuracy. More importantly, it enables scalability, said, Keith Roberts, president of Adaption Technologies.

That is what drove Adaption to develop Rialto to enable companies to automate the creation, delivery and operation of VoIP services and scale their VoIP business with no limits. Without automation scaling this business has proven to be very difficult and typically cost prohibitive.

Because Rialto was designed from front office to back office, it supports sales force automation to provide pipeline management and reporting to sales management staff. Its marketing-driven, said Wilkens.

Similarly, the wholesale service can be branded for the sales partner.

Resellers manage their own billing while Adaption provides billing services for agents.
